A Black Dot for RAVAK for exceptional design

logo Good DesignRAVAK enters the year 2023 with a Black Dot. Which is not at all a bad thing; the Black Dot is an excellent design prize awarded to RAVAK for the Yard washbasin collection created in collaboration with the Vrtiška & Žák studio. In the bathroom furnishings category, RAVAK is the only Czech company to win the award last year.

The main idea behind the Yard collection of wall-mounted ceramic washbasins is the concept of recessed storage. Yard differs from other currently available washbasins by allowing users to visually suppress everyday items to reduce the inevitable visual clutter that comes from the number of beauty products in a bathroom while still keeping them close at hand. The Yard washbasin includes a metal bracket for hanging it on the wall. This enhances the circular character of the washbasins and sculpts their overall expression in black, white or chrome.

The collection includes the five most popular washbasin sizes, including a corner variant and a practical miniature washbasin, ready to accommodate standing or concealed faucets.

The Vrtiška & Žák Studio, which became the absolute winner of the Czech Grand Design competition last year for the Yard collection and other concepts, also designed tubular furniture and an acrylic bathtub that RAVAK is currently developing into final products.
